We started in 1982 in our home garage (we painted and lettered side kit panels in our kitchen). We opened our 1st shop in Gary, In in 1984 (where we worked completely outdoors in all weather - starting the 1st put on and take off To Tarp policy) for our customers for free. We opened Tarp Express by Tk in 1991 at the then Petro Truckstop. (We loved that location and the Gary location - so many great relathionships started there... and those same customers art still loyal, today). We stood with and for the Independent Drivers during tough financial times, gas prices and of course TRUCK STRIKES (a heartful thank you for all the understanding dispatch offices back then). We moved the Gary location and closed Tarp Express in 2000, combining both into our current location at the Flying J Truckstop - Lake Station IN, where by the Grace of God, hard work and patient loyal customers - we just celebrated 25 years, a hugh mile marke for people with a humble start. We are just liike our customers, hard working people in the greatest country ever. God Bless America.
